At short notice, a high ranking ambassador required close protection in the southern region of Sudan. The team facilitated a safe and secure trip while visiting the towns of Juba and Yambio. Here the ambassador met various dignitaries including the President and Deputy President of Southern Sudan; and in Khartoum he met the President of South Africa. The region is notorious for incidents particularly from the outlawed Lord's Resistance Army. The ambassador was encouraged that Hawki's concept facilitated an enjoyable visit while having credible and capable protection, a workable response, and resources to cater for a variety of potential scenarios.
